The funding has been made available to support Startups, Companies, Projects and Small to Medium Size Enterprise as well as researchers and innovators developing high-risk, breakthrough innovations with the potential to create new markets and boost jobs, growth and prosperity in Europe.

The European Union funding instrument is a very powerful tool for launching market-creating innovative companies.
A main objective is to strengthen the innovative and European technological entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The program supports top-class innovators, entrepreneurs, small companies and researchers with bright ideas and the ambition to scale-up internationally.
Grant funding of up to €2.5 million
Option of equity investment of up to €15 million
Access to coaching and mentoring services, pitches with corporates, VCs, etc

There is a lack of finance for breakthrough and disruptive innovators in Europe, with an estimated total equity-funding gap of about €70 billion. Many European start-ups can’t find high risk capital needed to get to the stage where private sector investors get involved.
